The NBA HBCU Fellowship Series is a lineup of virtual events dedicated to providing insight and guidance to HBCU students who are interested in careers in sports. The Series showcases Black professionals who are eager to create pathways for a diverse and equitable workforce within the NBA. From inspiring stories to insider tips and advice, this series strengthens the advancement of HBCU students in sports professions.

A basketball player who opted for an academic scholarship to Alabama State University over playing the sport in college, Bryant enjoys being close to the game he loves.

Shelly Cayette, Chief Commercial Officer

Cayette joined the Cavs in 2012., where she most recently served as the team’s senior vice president of global partnerships.
As chief commercial officer, she oversees all corporate and ticket sales revenue and strategy, sports programs, and membership sales and services.

Current full-time HBCU undergraduate (rising juniors and seniors) and graduate students can apply through Feb. 20, 2022 to intern with the league office or teams for a ten-week period this summer.
